This plug is built for RG-58, 58A, 58B, 58C, 141, 303, LMR-195, Belden B7806A, and 9907 cables. That combination is the standard field-termination method for this cable class: the crimp gives a gas-tight shield connection, and the solder joint on the pin handles the centre conductor without cold-flow creep. The end cap in the kit protects the interface when the plug is unmated; caps stay on till you mate.
What the 12.4 GHz and 50 Ohm ratings mean for your signal chain
The 12.4 GHz upper frequency covers the full L, S, C, and X bands, plus most of Ku. Above that frequency the connector geometry starts to act as a discontinuity; the VSWR rises and insertion loss climbs.
