Pitch, Positions, and Contact Side
The SFV10R-1STBE1HLF: 0.50mm pitch, 10 positions, bottom-contact configuration — the flex cable must be inserted with the contact pads facing down toward the PCB, not up. A flipped cable shorts the wrong row. The mating interface uses gold-plated phosphor bronze contacts rated for 20 mating cycles. Gold flash on the contact face handles the wipe during insertion without galling, but the 20-cycle rating means this connector is designed for one-time assembly or infrequent field service, not repeated reconnection.
ZIF Actuator and Cable Thickness
Zero insertion force (ZIF) with a flip-lock actuator: the actuator opens to accept the cable, then flips down to clamp the contacts against the flex pads. The cable end must be notched or tabbed per the FFC/FPC specification, and the cable thickness must be 0.30mm — a 0.30mm flex fits the actuator gap; thicker or thinner cable will not seat correctly or may damage the lock.
Materials and Environmental Rating
The actuator is glass-filled polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), also halogen-free.
