Cable Fit and What Ships in the Package
This connector is designed for 0.047" semi-rigid coax — the cable group is specified in the part definition, so the center conductor and dielectric dimensions match the inner bore of the plug. The package includes 2 pieces: the SMP connector body itself and a separate end cap. The end cap terminates the open end of the cable run, sealing the dielectric and providing a mechanical stop for the center conductor during solder termination. No separate crimp ring or ferrule is needed for this cable type — the solder shield termination does the mechanical and electrical bond.
