This kit is sized specifically for cable groups RG-174 and RG-316. The centre contact solders to the signal conductor; the shield crimps under the ferrule. The included insulator centres the dielectric, and the end cap seals the back end. The crimp ferrule and insulator are matched to the 0.100-inch jacket diameter of these cables — no shimming or adapter rings needed.
