22-24 AWG ring terminal for #8 studs
The 1577620-1 is the 22-24 AWG member of TE's PIDG and Strato-Therm insulated ring terminal line, terminated to a #8 stud with a circular terminal type. The nickel-plated copper contact carries the crimp termination, and the PEEK insulation accepts wire insulation diameters from 0.035" to 0.075" (0.89mm to 1.91mm).
PEEK insulation and serrated termination
The insulation is polyetheretherketone (PEEK), rated for the Strato-Therm temperature range. The serrated termination bites into the conductor during crimp to improve pull-out force and electrical contact. Overall length is 0.839" (21.30mm) with an outer edge width of 0.281" (7.14mm). The contact thickness is 0.032" (0.81mm).
Non-insulated peer: 133521-1
The 133521-1 is a non-insulated Solistrand, Strato-Therm ring terminal for 18-22 AWG on the same #8 stud size. Its overall length is 0.574" (14.58mm) versus 0.839" (21.30mm) for the insulated 1577620-1 — the insulation adds length and the wire range shifts to 22-24 AWG.
