This is the plug (male) half — it mates with a Universal Power receptacle housing using the same pitch and latch system.
Termination is crimp, mounting is free-hanging (in-line), and the fastening uses a latch holder — not a friction lock, so the mate holds under vibration. The 3.96mm pitch is a standard power-class spacing, wider than signal-grade 2.54mm, giving adequate creepage for the voltage the circuit demands.
Why the Contacts-Not-Included Note Matters
Ordering the housing without the terminals is a common BOM trap; make sure the terminal part number is on the same line.
