The 0.250" (6.35mm) pitch and matching 0.250" (6.35mm) row spacing give this plug a generous footprint for power contacts — the creepage distance supports the voltage rating typical of the Universal MATE-N-LOK family without forcing a tight board layout.
This plug front section accepts standard Universal MATE-N-LOK crimp socket contacts (not included) — the same contact family used across the 0.250" pitch UMNL housings. The 2-row, 6-position layout means the mating half must also be a 6-position, 2-row receptacle with 0.250" pitch. The latch lock on this plug engages with the mating receptacle's locking ramp; the red colour aids visual identification in a multi-connector harness.
