20-Position Generation Y Receptacle for USCAR Harness Applications
The black glass-filled PA66 housing carries both Connector Position Assurance (CPA) and Terminal Position Assurance (TPA) features — these are the secondary locks that prevent partial mate and terminal back-out under vibration, which is the main reason this series is specified for underhood and chassis harnesses.
Crimp Termination and Free-Hanging Installation
This receptacle uses crimp termination — the female sockets are loaded into the housing after crimping to the wire, which is the standard build method for high-volume harness production. The TPA feature, a secondary retainer inserted after the terminals, confirms each contact is fully seated and locked into its cavity — a requirement for USCAR-2 and similar high-reliability specs.
