Single-Circuit Power Double Lock Plug Housing
Operating Range and Material Selection
The natural colour indicates unfilled nylon — no glass reinforcement, which keeps the housing flexible for snap-fit assembly but means the latch arm has less stiffness than a glass-filled sibling.
Procurement Note: Contacts Are Separate
This is a common sourcing trip point: the BOM line for the housing does not include the contacts, so the buyer needs a second line item for the matching TE crimp terminal (typically the 1-928918-0 or similar Power Double Lock terminal).
Positioning Against Multi-Position Siblings
The 316768-1 is the single-circuit member of the Power Double Lock series, compared to the 6-position 1-1376477-6 which carries the same 2.50 mm pitch and latch lock fastening but in a red glass-filled PA66 housing. The single-position housing is the right choice when the BOM calls for one discrete power circuit per connector — common for individual sensor feeds, solenoid drivers, or battery-balance taps where a multi-way connector would waste space. The 6-position sibling suits bundled signal or power runs where circuit count justifies the larger footprint.
