Receptacle Housing for 4.80mm Pitch Sealed System
The 4.80mm pitch and 0.220" row spacing provide the creepage and clearance needed for the 070 terminal system's rated voltage, while the free-hanging (in-line) mount suits harness runs where a panel cutout isn't available. The black PA66 housing carries the series' primary latch and secondary terminal position assurance (TPA) features — the TPA locks the crimp terminals in place after insertion, preventing back-out under vibration. The crimp termination allows field-serviceable wire attachment using standard open-barrel crimp tools. The 2-row layout gives 6 circuits in a compact footprint compared to a single-row 6-position housing of the same pitch, saving harness length at the splice point.
Mating Half and Contact System
The 344267-1 receptacle housing mates with the corresponding EconoSeal III 070 male header (plug housing) of the same 6-circuit, 2-row, 4.80mm pitch configuration. The male header accepts the matching male pin contacts, while this receptacle accepts the female socket contacts — the contact gender is defined by the housing, not the terminal itself. The 070 contact system uses a stamped-and-formed terminal with a lance that locks into the housing cavity; the TPA (terminal position assurance) insert then slides over the terminal lances to confirm full seating. For a complete mated pair, order the header housing and the appropriate crimp terminals for both halves. The 4.80mm pitch is shared across the EconoSeal III 070 family, so a 6-position header from the same series will align directly. The row spacing of 0.220" is consistent across all 2-row members of the series — no special footprint adjustment needed when swapping position counts within the same row configuration.
