6.20 mm pitch power header with locking ramp
The 4-178841-2: The 6.20 mm pitch is wide enough to handle higher current per circuit without excessive heating, and the shrouded - 4 wall design protects the tab contacts during handling and mating.
Termination is kinked pin, solder through-hole. The contact length - post is 0.146" (3.70 mm), which fits standard 1.6 mm PCBs with enough tail protrusion for reliable solder fillet formation. Tin is suitable for moderate mating cycle applications (typically 25-50 cycles) and is cost-effective for power interconnects where gold is not required.
For a given wire size, the terminal datasheet defines the maximum current; the header contact can handle the same or higher.
