The 5111374-1: The shrouded 4-wall housing with latch lock/eject hooks keeps the mating cable assembly positively retained — the hooks engage the receptacle's latch ears and resist back-out under vibration or cable tug. The 1 A ceiling is conservative for the contact beam and housing material; in a 25°C ambient the temperature rise stays well within the PCT housing limit. Mating finish is gold or gold-palladium at flash thickness — adequate for occasional field mating cycles, but not rated for the 500+ cycle duty of thicker gold.
Contact shape is square male pin, 0.240" mating length — the full wipe engages the receptacle contact beam before the latch clicks.
