The 61868-1: The terminal is tin-plated brass, 0.040" (1.02mm) thick, with serrated termination for grip during crimp. Overall length is 1.110" (28.19mm); outer width is 0.490" (12.45mm). The insulation diameter range is 0.145" to 0.290" (3.68mm to 7.37mm).
Solistrand siblings at the same stud size
Within the TE Solistrand series, the 2-33461-3 and 2-35772-1 also fit a 1/4 stud but differ in wire gauge and thickness: the 2-33461-3 accepts 8 AWG at 0.048" (1.22mm) thick, while the 2-35772-1 accepts 10-12 AWG at 0.039" (0.99mm) thick. The 61868-1 covers the heavier 6-10 AWG range at 0.040" (1.02mm). All three are tin-plated, non-insulated, and use serrated termination.
Wire gauge and stud size selection
The 61868-1 accepts 6-10 AWG wire and fits a 1/4 stud. The 640102-1 is a smaller ring terminal for 14-18 AWG with an 8 stud — it is not a functional substitute for the 61868-1.
