The housing accepts the standard TE 0.64 series socket contacts (typically 0.64mm square post mating interface), which are crimped onto 20-22 AWG wire before insertion. The crimp termination and secondary retention features in the housing ensure the terminal seats fully and stays locked against back-out under cable strain.
The 2-row, 10-position layout means the mating half will have the same 2x5 grid at 0.100" pitch. The latch lock engages audibly when fully mated and releases by pressing the tab — no tools needed for unmating. For harness assembly, the free-hanging design lets you route the cable bundle without a fixed panel mount, and the latch keeps the pair together even if the harness is tugged.
