Right-angle through-hole for board-edge and low-profile builds
The right-angle through-hole termination means the pins exit the housing perpendicular to the PCB. This is a common choice when the mating receptacle needs to sit flat against the board edge, saving z-height inside the enclosure. The post length of 0.126" (3.20 mm) provides enough solder tail for a reliable through-hole joint on standard 1.6 mm boards. The unshrouded design gives direct access to the pins — handy for probing or when the mating half is a simple receptacle without a shell.
