As a receptacle housing, it mates with the matching AMPMODU Mod IV header — typically the unshrouded 0.100" pitch breakaway headers from the same series. The free-hanging design means it's crimped onto a wire harness and then plugged into a board-mounted header, not soldered to a PCB. The 2-row, 8-position layout gives you 4 circuits per row, which is a common count for I/O or power distribution in a harness.
