SMA Bulkhead Jack — 50 Ohm, DC to 12.4 GHz
The 901-10021-1SF: It is a panel-mount bulkhead connector with a threaded coupling nut and a front-side nut retention scheme — the standard interface for test equipment, antennas, and RF module ports where a secure, repeatable mate is needed.
What Ships in the Kit
This is a complete installation kit, not a bare connector. The package includes 5 pieces: the SMA jack body, one center contact, one crimp ferrule, one lockwasher, and one bulkhead nut. You do not need to order the hardware separately — the lockwasher and nut handle the panel-side grounding and retention. The ferrule is sized for the listed cable groups: RG-55, 142, 223, and 400. If your cable is not in that group, the crimp ferrule dimensions will not match the jacket diameter.
The center contact is solder-terminated; the shield is crimped through the ferrule. This hybrid termination — solder on the pin, crimp on the braid — is typical for semi-rigid and double-shielded cables where the solder joint gives a lower DC resistance at the pin and the crimp provides mechanical strain relief on the braid. The cable groups listed (RG-55, 142, 223, 400) are all 50 Ohm coax types with a nominal dielectric diameter that fits the connector's interface dimensions. The PTFE dielectric material in the connector matches the cable dielectric, keeping the impedance transition clean through the termination zone.
