The threaded coupling gives a vibration-resistant mate, and the weatherproof construction means it holds up in outdoor or damp enclosures without additional sealing. The 12.4 GHz ceiling covers L-band through X-band, so it handles most commercial and industrial RF bands short of Ku-band.
This plug accepts RG-179, RG-316 double braid, and M17/152-RD316 — the common small-diameter double-shielded coax types used in tight-bend RF runs. The centre contact is solder-terminated, the shield is crimped via the included ferrule, and the heat shrink covers the crimp area for strain relief and environmental seal.
Rated for 500 mating cycles — enough for field-service reconnects or test-bench use without early contact wear. Weatherproof ingress protection means it can be used in outdoor antenna connections or industrial washdown zones as long as the mating jack is similarly rated.
