Five-position FFC housing — contacts ordered separately
The 487545-2: The housing is the plastic shell; without the crimp contacts it's just a shell.
1.5 A at 100 V — signal duty, not power
The 1.5 A ceiling is set by the thin flex conductor, not the contact itself; pushing beyond that risks temperature rise at the FFC-to-contact interface. Without the latch, the FFC can work loose over time.
Active production — no EOL worry
Mating half and contact sourcing
This housing mates with a 5-position, 1.27mm pitch AMPMODU System 50 header. The header part numbers start with the base number 487545 (same base as this housing). For the contacts, look for TE crimp terminals in the System 50 series — the exact part number depends on your wire gauge and plating preference (gold vs tin).
