Two-Position ZIF Receptacle for 0.33 mm Flex Circuits
The ZIF (Zero Insertion Force) slide-lock actuator eliminates insertion force on the flex contacts — push the flex in, slide the lock, and the contact beams wipe the pads. No cam or flip-lock to break. The slide lock also provides positive retention against accidental pull-out.
Cable Fit and Actuator Orientation
The notched profile aligns the flex in the housing and prevents insertion backwards — a flipped flex shorts the wrong row, so the notch is a critical orientation key. The blue housing and gray actuator are visual cues for the assembler. The slide-lock actuator is a ZIF mechanism: the flex slides in without force, then the lock slides over to clamp the contacts. No solder or crimp tool needed at the cable end — just strip the flex to the correct length and insert. The solder termination is on the receptacle's tails, which are soldered to a PCB or other termination point.
