5-Position ZIF Receptacle for 0.33mm FFC/FPC
The 65801-005LF is a 5-position FFC/FPC receptacle from the Clincher™ series, using a Zero Insertion Force (ZIF) slide-lock actuator. Rated 2A per contact with tin-plated copper nickel alloy contacts, the current ceiling is limited by the contact finish and housing material (UL94 V-0 thermoplastic,). The 100 mating cycles are typical for tin contacts in a ZIF design — field-service reconnections should be budgeted accordingly. The slide lock holds the actuator closed under vibration, preventing the FPC from backing out.
Free-hanging (in-line) mounting — this receptacle is designed for cable-to-board or cable-to-cable connections, not for PCB edge mounting. Accepts 0.33mm-thick FFC or FPC with a notched cable end. The ZIF actuator opens to insert the cable, then slides to clamp the contacts — no insertion force on the cable, which prevents damage to thin flex circuits.
