SMA plug for LMR-240 and Belden 9258 — what's in the kit
The Amphenol 901-10011 is an SMA plug (male pin) designed for field termination onto Belden 9258 or LMR-240 cable — the two most common low-loss 50 Ohm coax types for short-run RF links.
Cable match and termination sequence
This connector is specced for Belden 9258 and LMR-240 — both 0.195-inch-diameter 50 Ohm cables with a solid or stranded center conductor. The center contact solders onto the conductor; the shield is crimped through the stainless steel body. The 500-cycle mating rating means the gold-over-beryllium-copper pin will hold its contact resistance through repeated test-bench or field disconnect cycles. The threaded coupling nut (silver-plated stainless) gives a vibration-resistant mate that won't back off under cable flex.
