The TE 282834-3 is a 3-position PCB terminal block from the Buchanan series, designed for side-entry (horizontal) wire termination on a 2.54mm pitch. It uses a screw rising-cage clamp to secure 16-30 AWG wire, rated 10 A at 150 V.
Through-hole mounting with the wire entry parallel to the PCB — the horizontal orientation keeps the assembly low-profile against the board edge. The M1.6 screw requires a torque of 0.2 Nm (1.7 lb-in); the rising cage clamp lifts to accept stripped wire, then clamps down on the conductor when tightened. Brass contacts with tin plating, steel/stainless screw, and brass-nickel clamp plate handle the mechanical and electrical duty.
