10 A per Position — Rising Cage Clamp Termination
The 282834-8: Rated 10 A at 150 V, this block carries power-distribution current, not just signal-level — the brass-tin-plated contacts and rising cage clamp (torque to 0.2 Nm, or 1.7 Lb-In) give a gas-tight connection on 16-30 AWG stranded or solid wire. The screw clamp won't back off under thermal cycling the way a spring terminal can, but the torque spec is the installation control: under-torque leaves a high-resistance joint; over-torque strips the M1.6 screw. The clamp material is brass with nickel plating, the screw is steel or stainless — no galvanic corrosion risk with copper wire.
