Cable Prep and Termination — IDC for 22 AWG Discrete or Ribbon
This receptacle accepts 22 AWG wire — discrete or ribbon cable — and terminates via IDC (insulation displacement contact). No wire stripping needed; the IDC slot pierces the insulation during termination. The closed-end feature gives a positive stop for the wire, so the conductor seats at the correct depth every time. For harness builders: use the matching TE hand tool or press for consistent IDC insertion force across all 8 positions.
